Bob's walking friends - 2010 |
Just some of Bob's friends... |
Bonnie: Easy to spot on the field because of her almost white colouring Bonnie will always make a long detour to make sure that she can come for some fuss. Bob is very keen on Bonnie (if you know what I mean) while she will tolerate him as long as she can have some fuss. |
Coco: Mad as ever but starting to slow down. Bob used to walk with her predecessor Oz - but WALKING with Coco is not an option. Bob often gets bowled over and lets Coco know when he has had enough - and then goes back for more. Bob is always trying to prove that he's a slightly younger dog than he really is and often needs a long rest after an encounter with Coco. |
Harriet & Yenna: Two of Bob's girlfriends for several years, and always wanting a fuss from us too. Sadly Yenna is not with us any more after succumbing to cancer. |
Max: Bob has several friends called Max, I guess this is Big Max who we bump into most evenings. If you think Bob and Max together would look incongruous you should see Max with his yorkie friend. |
Megan: We first met Megan when she was chasing the cows around Longfields - then she decided it was better to play with Bob. Now we regularly bump into her on the field - but her owner puts her on lead well before they reach the cows - just in case. |
Poppy: is the latest addition to the Freewheel crew. We met her at the BMF rally. She spent a while pestering Bob but he had this sly trick of moving just out of range because he was off lead while Poppy was tethered to a long line. Bob did keep going back but he kept things on his own terms. |
Rusty is Clive's dog. Another dog we only tend to meet at the BMF rally. |
Shadow is a long term friend who lives at the end of our road. They've been like brother and sister since they first met. |
Spike came to stay with us for the day while his owner had to head up to Stafford for the day. As you can see he was totally accepted by Bob and allowed to share both toys and biscuits (the latter being the ultimate test). |
France. We don't know the name of these dogs but Bob antagonises them at least once a day. They run up and down barking and wagging their tails, while Bob will go up to their fence to say hello and then go a few paces away cock his leg and leave them a reminder that he is out an a walk while they are stuck at home in the garden. |
