Bob The Dog 2001

We don't have a lot of pictures from 2001 and 2002 (compared with after he came to live with us) but there are enough to show what a tiny creature he was - and also that he was already showing the character that was to develop over the years.
Here Bob is waiting to be let in at the back door. Already he was showing what a good and patient boy he was. Instead of making a fuss with barking or scratching he would just sit there until someone let him in. Fortunately this good and patient characteristic has stayed with him as he has grown.
Bob's fluffy blanket was his first 'posession'. It was used to line his bed and he knew that wherever it was put down was 'his' sanctuary. He still has it and he still uses it as his space wherever it is placed down.
Never far seperated from his toys - with any ball being a favourite. This seems to be Bob's plan for life.
Of course being a terrier second best toy would be anything to tug - first best was a ball because you could chase that and tug it too!
Most of Bob's toys have a long life. Sad to say the purple squeaky bat was not to be one of them.
Showing his cheeky side as he sticks out his tongue at one of us.
This is one the earliest sessions teaching Bob to sit and stay. He was already very biddable and a fast learner.
One of Anne's earliest recollections of Bobby was during the first time that he came to stay with us. Anne was working in the study, using the PC, when Bobby brought something through for her. Anne was thanking Bobby as he dropped his little gift into her hand until she realised that it was a small nugget of dog poo. I understand (as I was at work at the time) that a cry of "MOTHER! COME AND SORT YOUR DOG OUT!" was issued at high volume.
